It is an exciting time to be joining us as we witness the hard work invested into our Key Stage 4 outcomes improving in line with our excellent primary phase. In 2018 we joined the then recently formed Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust, providing a great opportunity to work closely with the two outstanding schools in the MAT - St James’s C of E High School and Canon Slade School, sharing good practice and building on the much-needed improvement work and progress that has been taking place over these past two years.

We are looking to recruit a SEN Administrator on a permanent basis. The hours of work will be:

Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4pm. 

Friday: 8am – 3:30pm. 

The main objectives of this role are:

- Responsible for providing a quality administrative service to the SENDCo and SEN department 

- Facilitating annual reviews of EHCPS through the preparation of EHCP documentation, obtaining, collating and producing updated reports for the SENDCo, and arranging, attending and minuting the review meetings  

- Maintaining the Additional Needs Register, under direction of the SENDCo

- Maintaining individual provision maps and pen portraits, under the direction of the SENDCo

- Responsible for acquiring and collating SEND information and records from previous school placement and uploading to school records systems during any transition.

The post holder will be an individual who:

• is a great team player, friendly, and professional

• enjoys working as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff

• has a passion for well organised administration systems and processes

• has excellent ICT skills and is proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office 

• is confident in liaising with a variety of staff at all levels

• has excellent customer service skills

• able to use social media technologies

• demonstrates personal resilience and role model those personal qualities we wish to instill in our young people

• has the ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role
