Administration Role - SEN & Pastoral Administrator

Grade:           Scale 4 (point 7 – 10)

Hours:            36 hrs per week, 37 weeks per year

Salary:           FTE £25,629 to - £26,913 (pro rata to weeks & hours worked above)

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed SEN & Pastoral Administrator to join our team at Hampton High.

Purpose of job

To provide administrative, clerical, and practical support for the SEND & Pastoral team

Main responsibilities, Tasks & Duties:

1.   To provide support for the SENDCo and Deputy SENDCo with collating student data in preparation for reports (such as, but not limited to, Annual Reviews of students with EHCPs)

2.   To liaise with the SEND team and Safeguarding team to issue letters, maintain student files

3.   Provide administrative support to the Pastoral team

4.   CPOMs administrator – Email staff to inform them of any incidents

5.   To support the SEND and Pastoral team in ordering of supplies and resources needed to support our SEND students

6.   To provide administrative support to staff leading SEND withdrawals (such as, but not limited to, ELSA, Social Skills, Catch Up, Dyslexia, EAL)

Knowledge and skills:

  • Relevant administration experience.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. e.g. Excel and Word
  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Confidentiality as some material is sensitive
  • Communication skills when dealing with pupils and parents
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of school policies and procedures (and/or an understanding of who to speak to regarding school policies and procedures)
  • Ability to work with pupils in potentially difficult situations
