We are looking for a highly effective creative and inspirational classroom practitioner with a Design Technology specialism to join High Point Academy, part of Forward Education Trust, a growing Multi Academy Trust established in 2017 serving special schools across the West Midland area.  

High Point Academy is a brand-new purpose built special free school in Friar Park, Wednesbury. Our new Academy will grow to educate up to 90 pupils aged 11-16 years with autism and moderate learning difficulties. The school has high standards of teaching and learning and is committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential. 

The successful candidate will be a skilled classroom teacher with a passion for teaching Design Technology, who is enthusiastic and motivated to help our students develop and reach their full potential. 


The successful candidate will:

• Have previous teaching experience and skills of working with secondary age children.

• Have experience of working with children with complex autism and communication difficulties

• Have QTS status

• Be a team player
