SEN Teacher of English


Permanent, Full-time

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver nationally accredited English courses to KS3 and KS4 students. To liaise with the Headteacher, other teachers, and mainstream providers and appropriate exam boards. To support our Independent Therapeutic School for NQT and QTS teachers.

Working hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday

The role will be term time only.

Must have experience working with SEN Children.

About You

• To be qualified as a secondary teacher

• Knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum

• Experience of working with children with SEND

• Establish and maintain good professional relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.

• Set high expectations of all children and be committed to raising educational achievement.

• Planning and implementing provision for children with SEND including the moni-toring, assessment, recording and reporting of children’s progress

• Effective teaching and learning styles and how to implement them.

• Ability to build positive relationships with learners who have emotional barriers which effect learning.
