Required for September 2024, two Learning Support Assistants.
An exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Learning Support Department, the appointed candidates will be able to demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and adaptable as part of a busy and committed support team. The successful candidates will need to be skilled in working with young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties that significantly affect learning. Our LSAs work closely with teachers to support young people with a range of learning needs to enhance their learning across the curriculum both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups and would be able to enthuse and motivate, bringing creativity and initiative to the role. Ability to support high level learning in English and/or Mathematics an advantage. Located in Camden, north-west London, The Camden School for Girls is a single-sex secondary school, offering places to girls aged 11-18. With around 1,000 students, the school has an extremely diverse student intake, reflective of the local community.
First established as a grammar school in 1871, The Camden School for Girls later became a comprehensive. Although the school is girls-only in Years 7-11, the substantial sixth form is co-educational and accepts a large number of its students from other schools in the local area.
