About Hemington Primary School
Hemington Primary School is a very popular, small school set in the picturesque Somerset village of Hemington. We are based in a beautiful Victorian building and benefit from a field, sensory garden and wooded conservation area.
Through our creative curriculum we are committed to making the best use of our stunning grounds for children's learning. We pride ourselves on the support we give the children in reading, writing and mathematics making use of the latest software. We welcome children and parents to join our family and enjoy a 'good start for all'.
Hornbeams is our pre-school which is located within the school building allowing children to feel part of the learning community from an early age. Hornbeams follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and makes good use of their garden and the school environment on a regular basis to encourage early learning. Hornbeams children have opportunities to join in special events with the school and benefit from a comprehensive transition period during the summer term before moving into Reception.
