Job overview

We are looking for highly committed and flexible learning support assistants to work within a class team. The successful candidates may have previous experience working in a special school environment or be an aspirant SEN teacher seeking to gain experience. Experience of working with pupils with autism is an advantage, but not essential.

The post involves working alongside teachers, supporting pupils learning environment and small group support. Energy, fitness and enthusiasm are required to work with our students; in return they will give you a sense of achievement when they make progress, however small.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

· Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa if applicable)

· Have previous experience teaching within an SEN setting

· A desire for with working with students with special needs including Autism

· Have excellent communication skills

· Have a creative approach to learning

· A willingness to undertake personal care of students on occasion

· Possess valid references, DBS/police checks

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references (academic/professional) and hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
