About us
Working for Achieving for Children, you will have the opportunity to operate at the cutting edge of children’s services delivery. We are an award-winning social enterprise created by Kingston and Richmond Councils in 2014, joined in 2017 by Windsor and Maidenhead, and responsible for delivering the boroughs’ children’s services.
We have been up and running for four years, and in that time we have established a reputation as one of the leading children’s services providers in the country. We are one of the Department for Education’s eight ‘Partners in Practice’, tasked with leading improvement across the sector.
About the Role
Following the completion of the transfer of statements to EHCPs, we want to develop an ongoing moderation and monitoring schedule to ensure that plans reflect the current needs of children and young people.
We will continue to assess and review the effectiveness of our EHCPs, and so are looking to recruit two new Education Health Care Plan Review Officers who will work directly with the SEN Leadership team to oversee the quality of EHCPs, their impact on outcomes, and respond to individual cases where provision or families report that provision needs review.
They will also systematically quality assure and review the impact of a sample of plans to ensure the impact is evidenced and monitored. Recent research suggests all agencies must emphasise the importance of securing positive outcomes and wellbeing for children and young people in - maintained and independent schools and these posts will be able to prioritise this key group of children and young people.
These roles will work closely with the Appeals and Mediation Officer so that has a responsive and timely opportunity to intervene and support placements which are under review.
