Smart Teachers is seeking to appoint a Science teacher to work in an Ofsted awarded "Outstanding" SEN Secondary school located in Islington. The start date for the role is September 2017 and will initially be contracted for the duration of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a successful classroom teacher to broaden their experience or a newly qualified teacher seeking their first post.

The successful Science Teacher will be enthusiastic, confident and have a passion for teaching Science. The school has an excellent CPD programme and excellent opportunities to support career development. It is desirable to have some previous experience in teaching pupils with moderate learning difficulties. It is people with experience who thrive in this type of environment. You would need to be comfortable teaching from KS1 up to KS4 and be able to create a stimulating environment.

Initially, you would be offered a fixed term contract for the 2017/18 academic year with the potential for a permanent contract. For the right applicant there is an opportunity for a TLR and you would receive a competitive salary in line with the MPS.

In addition, the school is well-resourced and each classroom has an interactive whiteboard. Support during lessons is excellent and is such that you would be fully supported with up to three teaching assistants per class.
