Silverways School in Enfield is the latest school to be opened by the Kedleston Group Limited*. This new school will have places for 50 children and young people, age 7 to 17,  who require specialist education for autism and associated needs.  The school will deliver the National Curriculum from KS2 up to GCSE level, personalised to accommodate the needs of each learner.


The Headteacher is creating an inspirational team of diverse professionals who are dedicated to empowering children and young people with autism to become independent, ambitious global citizens.  


Silverways School is due to open in April/May 2021.  We are now  looking to appoint qualified secondary teachers who are inspiring, attuned to the special needs of the pupils and have high expectations for everyone in the school; ensuring progress is made both academically, socially and emotionally.  


We are especially keen to hear from teachers of maths, science, art/design technology and humanities but all specialisms will be considered in our search for the right candidate.

 


The successful candidate will:

 

be a consistently good Quality First teacher with experience of working with pupils with ASC


have high aspiration for pupil progress, development, and achievement.



understand how to adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of the pupils through a child-centred approach



have good time-management skills, be organised, self-motivated and committed to all aspects of school life


enjoy a collaborative style approach to working and development; understanding the commitment and hard work required to ‘get things done’ as part of a small, supportive team.


be resilient, have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
