Willoughby Road Primary Academy, located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, is a great place to learn and work for both pupils and staff. Since a new Head of Academy joining us in January 2025, our Academy has been in a period of exciting and positive change.

Our school motto is ‘Today's learners, Tomorrow's leaders’ and we believe that all children, irrespective of their background, can succeed and achieve their ambitions with our core values of building language, raising aspirations and embedded nurture throughout the whole academy. We have around 249 pupils on roll, meaning we’re approximately a 1.5 form entry and have very strong links with our local community.

Proud Of Our Achievements

Our most recent Ofsted inspection was carried out in April 2025, where we maintained a ‘Good’ rating in all areas. The report comments on our school’s high expectations for all pupils to learn well and succeed, that our Teachers have secure subject knowledge and that there have been significant improvements to pupils’ attendance since last year.

Good relationships exist with local partnerships including the Scunthorpe schools as well as other academies within Delta Academies Trust. This allows you to share best practice, collaborate and be supported not only within our Academy, but beyond too.
