Job overview

Required for September 2021 – Joseph Leckie Academy is seeking to appoint a caring and dedicated female Teaching Assistant. In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, it is an occupational requirement that the post holder is female due to the specific duties in the job description.

The post holders' responsibilities include providing general classroom support, the meeting of the student’s emotional, social and physical needs and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum. Experience in supporting students with autism and providing one to one care would be advantageous.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join our dedicated team of Teaching Assistants at Joseph Leckie Academy. This is a fixed term contract initially for one year. Extension to the contract will be dependent on funding. 

Experience with secondary age students and qualifications in the area of special educational needs will be an advantage.
