As a Teaching Assistant, your role will vary from day to day and each day will be unique. However, your roles and responsibilities for a typical day may include:

· Assist children with completing activities and differentiate such activities to meet their needs, skills and abilities of the pupils.

· Communicate and liaise with the SENCO, Inclusion Manager, Teacher and other Teaching Assistants to ensure effective SEND Provision is provided at all times.

· Provide 1:1 support to children, as well as group support.

· Accompany children to their relevant therapy sessions if required.

· Work in collaboration with the Teacher to monitor progress.

· Support all aspects of child development; including the Social, Emotional, Behavioural, Physical and Holistic needs of the children you’re working with.

Ideally, you will need to have a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Childcare or equivalent for this role and have experience working with children and young people with SEND. However, applications will be considered if you come from a Support Worker and/or Career background, and/or have experience working with adults with Learning Difficulties and SEND.
