An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a confident and dedicated SEN teacher to play a pivotal role in developing and supporting practice for pupils with SEND within our school. You would be joining our school at an extremely pivotal time, as we expand our provision for SEMH students and offer Outreach support to all mainstream schools in the Borough of Ealing.

 The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, resourcing, delivering, monitoring and reviewing progress for all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities within EAP on individual /group programmes within the classroom or as part of a withdrawal strategy. You will also support the SENCO in the development of the curriculum and teaching and learning within the department and across the school.

 We are looking to appoint a SEN Teacher with:

  • Experience of teaching in a primary, a secondary school or other setting
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEMH
  • Proven classroom ability and practice
  • Experience of and a sound understanding of how assessment is used to support learning for SEND pupils
  •  Use of innovative approaches to the development of teaching and learning
  • Able to motivate students and develop positive relationships with parents/carers
  • Able to use data to evaluate the performance
  • A good knowledge of strategies for supporting an ethos of positive behaviour management

Ealing Alternative Provision (EAP) has a purpose built site that delivers high quality bespoke provision in a non-standard setting for pupils out of mainstream school.

EAP’s main aim is to provide pupils with a challenging, motivational and supportive curriculum which allows them to get back on track and achieve their true potential. Their educational experience will provide them with the tools and skills which will support them to be successful in the future at post 16 and beyond and equip them to participate in further education, employment or training.

We have free on-site parking for staff.
