Here at ABC Teachers we are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teacher within Ibstock to work with students aged 8 to 15 years old. The role is a full time maternity cover starting as soon as possible initially lasting until the end of the summer term, with the possibility of being taken on permanently.

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a new challenge. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of teaching individuals with a variety of Special Educational Needs and have a proven track record with challenging behaviour. The successful applicant will be working with very small groups, but will receive support by the client. 

The role will involve 2 days a week office based planning and 3 days a week delivering lessons. The candidate must be willing to travel as they will also be teaching in Birmingham and South Derbyshire. Travelling expense will be compensated for. 

The Ideal Candidate – 

· Will have QTS

· Be highly creative in a classroom setting 

· Knowledge within the education sector 

· Passion for supporting the learning of children 

· Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour

· Be able to connect with young people 

· Willing to travel

· In date DBS & on the Update Service
