La Garenne International School invites applications for the position of SEN Teacher to join our team from September 1st, 2018. Applicants should be enthusiastic international educators who are keen to be part of our close-knit school community. The ability to teach a second subject, particularly in the field of Humanities would confer an advantage. The successful candidate should also be proficient in tracking and fully documenting the progress of the students receiving SEN support.
La Garenne International School, with 110 international students aged from 4-14, is situated in the popular Swiss ski resort of Villars. We offer small class sizes and a genuine family atmosphere. The Primary Section covers Years 1-6, following the English National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The Junior Section covers Years 7-9, following the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), underpinned by the English Key Stage 3.
Beyond the academic programme, we offer a truly holistic education making full use of our outstanding local environment. Ideally, candidates should have a minimum of two years experience, a British teaching qualification or equivalent and knowledge and experience of the English National Curriculum. They should be passionate, inspirational teachers who are able be able to work independently and liaise effectively with colleagues.
