Severndale Specialist Academy is a multi-site school catering children with special educational needs in Shropshire.
What is the purpose of the role?
The role of the classteacher at Severndale Specialist Academy is to provide exciting, engaging high quality teaching which delivers an appropriate curriculum and meets the needs of each pupil. This will involve ongoing and close liaison with parents/carers, colleagues and other professionals and the management of a class team.

Severndale Specialist Academy caters for children and young people from 3-25 years old. We are a large special school with over 400 pupils and students on role.
We cater for a wide variety of needs from PMLD to MLD, on three separate sites; our main site, an MLD base at a mainstream high school, and provision at Shrewsbury College, our local FE College.
We have excellent facilities, a dedicated and well-trained staff group and very good links with a wide range of agencies. We are extremely well supported by our parents and carers.
