As an Outstanding mainstream primary school, accredited by the National Autistic Society, we are looking for an exceptional teacher who is committed to supporting children with special needs.

Having recently gained accreditation by the National Autistic Society, Redriff Primary (City of London Academy) is looking to further develop its practice as a leader in the field of special needs. We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and enthusiastic teacher to provide an outstanding education to children with special educational needs across the school. The successful candidate will teach small classes or groups helping to meet the diverse range of needs in the school.

The candidate will require:

• Qualified teacher status
• A flexible and creative approach to working with      children with a range of special educational needs 
• Experience of teaching children with autism spectrum      conditions (ASC) or learning difficulties 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A dedicated work ethic to ensure the needs of all      pupils are met
• Preferred but not required, experience with some of      the following, Makaton, PECS, TEACCH and SCERTS

The role is suitable to candidates who are working in a mainstream school with an interest in special educational needs, or those who are working in a special school who would like to transfer their skills to a resource base provision.
