Job overview

Our Southcote Centres at Chertsey High School and Kings International College opened in 2021 in a joint venture between Surrey County Council, Philip Southcote School and Bourne Education Trust. Described as “transformational” and “ground-breaking”, they have been a resounding success.

We are seeking an outstanding teacher(s) with a strong commitment to special education to join our team and play a pivotal role in curriculum development. You will bring a deep passion for teaching and learning, with the ability to motivate both students and colleagues in our collaborative and supportive environment.

This position is well-suited for an aspirational teacher experienced in KS2, KS3, or KS4 education, eager to make a positive impact in the realm of special education. The vision for our Southcote Centres is to offer SEND students a combination of specialist teaching, therapies and interventions from the Philip Southcote team alongside opportunities for students to thrive in mainstream classes where this is beneficial and appropriate for them. You would be based at our Southcote Centres (located at Chertsey High School and Kings International College), supporting students access a bespoke curriculum.

We are looking for either a full time teacher who would split their time between sites or two part time teachers (0.5) who would be located at each of the centres.
