ABC Teachers are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant for an exciting opportunity in a Special Educational Needs School on full-time basis.
The school requires an experienced Teaching Assistant who works well with children with Autism and additional needs to start in January 2022. They are also open to applications for people looking for flexible, part-time work.
About the role:
• You will be working with small nurture groups and on a one-to-one basis with students who have a diagnosis of Autism and associated behavioural and social developmental needs.
• Use a child-centred approach to provide the best support for students’ learning and development.
• Support for the teacher in organising effective learning environments and the planning of classroom activities.
• This Teaching Assistant role is a full-time, long-term role starting in January 2022.

• The school caters to primary aged students with a diagnosis of ASC, with some social, emotional and mental health needs.

About you:
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:
• Have previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with a range of special educational needs.
• The ability to quickly build a rapport with students.
• Have strong communications and behaviour management skills.
• Be able to work as part of a team and adapt to work independently.
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
