ABC Teachers part of TES are currently looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Special Educational Needs school located in Birmingham. This will be a part time role, perfect for a candidate looking for some flexibility, and will be on an ongoing basis.
This school caters for individuals who are 11 to 19 years of age and are of mixed special educational needs, some of these being Moderate Learning Difficulties and ASD. You will be working alongside the class teacher assisting them with the running of the class, as well providing a personalised education to the children and focusing on them more individually.
It is important you have a good understanding around a range of learning difficulties and have proven experience working with children in an SEN environment. We are looking for an individual who is a great communicator and is passionate about this area of education.
The ideal candidate –
· Level 2 TA qualification
· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)
· Build rapport with the children and be creative
· In date DBS & on the Update Service
Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
