Salary:  Grade 5, Point 5 to 7 £19,312 to £20,092 pa pro-rata.  Actual Salary: £13,041 to £13,682 pa

Hours: 30 per week - term time only 

St Gregory the Great is a Catholic school located in Oxford, within the Diocese of Birmingham and is part of The Pope Francis Catholic Multi Academy Company (PFMAC).

We are looking to appointment an SEN Teaching Assistant to work under the direction of the SENCO to provide support and guidance to students with special educational needs.

St Gregory the Great Catholic School is seeking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant, someone with a genuine passion to help and support our students to achieve their very best.  Working to support with academic and emotional and physical needs. The successful candidate would need to demonstrate a strong sense of empathy, patience and understanding.  You will be a member of the Inclusion Team and will work with students with learning needs, autism, social emotional and mental health challenges.

The ideal candidate would be someone with previous experience of working with children and young people.  We encourage applications from graduates looking to pursue a career in teaching. We can offer AOR training to gain QTS for the right candidate subject to criteria requirements.

• Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills

• Good organisation skills

• Empathetic

• Ability to build and form good relationships with parents/carers and colleagues
