Job overview
Ace Education Manchester is an alternative provision and mentoring service for secondary school age students. We are looking for a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a designated student with ADHD and ASD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Providing 1:1 academic support to a student with SEN specifically in the completion of classwork provided by subject teachers
· Liaising with subject teachers to provide effective support
· Take an active role in the personal development of the designated student
· Take part in educational visits with your student as part of the Ace Education Manchester alternative provision offer
The ideal candidate would have:
· The ability to form positive relationships with students
· A full UK Drivers License
· Experience of working 1:1 with students with SEN
· The ability to demonstrate good practice when supporting students with SEND or SEMH needs
· Competency in English and Maths
· Effective communication skills to feedback to subject teachers, parents and other stakeholders
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
