ABC Teachers are currently looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs school in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. 

This school caters for students with ASD, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties who are between 3 and 19 years of age. This role will begin in September and will be on a full time, ongoing basis. 

You will be expected to work with students on a 1:1 basis and also with small groups of pupils in order to support them on a more individual level. We are ideally looking for someone that has had previous experience working with various special needs and are confident in their behavioural management ability and communication skills. 

The ideal candidate –

·        Level 2 TA qualification

·        Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)

·        Build rapport with the children

·        In date DBS & on the Update Service  

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
