About Greenacres Primary Academy

Greenacres Primary Academy converted to an academy on 1st March 2018 and is part of South Pennine Academies multi academy trust, an exempt charity and a not for profit organisation that works alongside 9 other academies in Oldham, Huddersfield and Halifax. The trust also operates the Huddersfield Horizon SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training).

Greenacres Primary Academy is a vibrant and happy learning community. Staff work hard to provide a stimulating, exciting environment where everyone feels valued and safe, ideas can flourish and pupils can realise their full potential.

By providing a well-structured and engaging curriculum, and by promoting good behaviour through our Behaviour Charter, we aim to enthuse in all children a love of learning as well as respect and care for each other.

Whatever the needs of our children we aim to ensure they thrive at Greenacres Primary Academy, feeling safe, having fun and enjoying success. We want our pupils' time in our school to be memorable, build on what they know and can do and help them become lifelong learners.

We value highly the partnership between home and school and encourage all parents to take an active part in the education of their children. The partnership between school staff, parents, governors and other stakeholders is an essential one. Children are at the heart of all we do and their social and emotional well-being, as well as their academic achievements are very important.
