Our mission is to provide a Curriculum for Life that empowers every child to fulfil their potential, regardless of their individual learning needs.

We work with pupils aged 3 to 11 who present a range of learning differences, including autism, Down syndrome, speech and language challenges, and global developmental delay. Our approach is centred around developing communication, independence, and self-help skills, alongside promoting mental health and emotional well-being.

We are looking for individuals committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and excellence—creating meaningful learning experiences that help children thrive at school and beyond.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive local hire benefits
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • An open and progressive learning culture
  • Freedom to be innovative in a nurturing setting
  • The chance to work alongside inspiring staff and pupils
  • A meaningful role contributing to the school’s shared vision
How to Apply:

To apply, please complete the TES online application form (Quick Apply) and upload a covering letter addressed to the Headteacher. Your letter should outline how you meet the requirements of the job description and person specification, and what qualities and skills you would bring to the role.

Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. All applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt; however, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive a high number of applications—early submission is therefore advised.

Safeguarding Statement:

Sherborne School Qatar is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants must be prepared to undergo rigorous child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and criminal records checks. This includes the International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC), DBS, or equivalent clearances from all countries where the applicant has lived or worked.

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), an online search will be conducted on all shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence procedures.

Sherborne Qatar Schools form a truly international community, welcoming pupils from over 60 nationalities across our campuses. As leading British independent schools in the Middle East, we are committed to delivering educational excellence through a holistic approach that values outstanding pastoral care alongside strong academic achievement.

Our strength lies in our exceptional teachers, high-quality pastoral support, extensive enrichment opportunities, and a warm, inclusive, family-orientated culture. We pride ourselves on knowing our pupils as individuals and supporting them to grow both academically and personally within a nurturing environment.

As part of the wider Sherborne family, our schools benefit from a close relationship with our historic and prestigious partner school in England. Together, we share a commitment to providing the very best of British independent education while embracing the diversity and ambition of our international setting in Qatar.

Qatar is a dynamic and forward-thinking country, and we seek to nurture these same qualities in our pupils. We encourage learners to take responsibility for their own progress, to think critically, and to develop curiosity, resilience and a lifelong passion for learning. Our philosophy of “Education for Life” focuses on developing reflective, adaptable and confident young people who are prepared for the future.

Across Sherborne Qatar Schools, we aim to cultivate well-educated, well-rounded individuals who hold high aspirations and achieve their full potential within a happy and supportive school environment. At the heart of everything we do are our core values of Respect, Honesty, Kindness, Perseverance, Responsibility and Teamwork — values that guide our actions, shape our community and reflect our shared ethos with Sherborne Dorset.

We encourage pupils to become positive role models, embrace leadership opportunities and explore a wide range of interests through our rich extracurricular programmes. While standards and expectations for learning and behaviour remain high, we believe pupils should be challenged in a supportive environment that promotes wellbeing rather than pressure.

Strong partnerships between home and school are central to our success. By working closely with families, built on mutual trust and respect, we create the best conditions for children to flourish, achieve their potential and feel happy and secure in school.

Above all, Sherborne Qatar Schools are caring, inclusive and supportive communities where every child is valued and inspired to succeed.
