Vision for Education are seeking to employ a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our fantastic supply team and work within one of our well-established client schools in West Newcastle. This role is set to commence in January 2022 and extend over the course of the academic year. The candidate must be able to commit to full time hours, 08:30-15:30 and have excellent time management. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications for this position is a Level 3 Qualification in Teaching and Learning.

The role

The specified job role will be to work within Early Years, supporting small groups of SEN pupils with their daily routine and learning within the classroom. The Teaching Assistant must have a welcoming and approachable manner and be committed to providing outstanding provision for all children within their care. The school would ideally like someone who has experience of supporting pupils within SEND, however, they would still like to welcome Qualified candidates to apply.

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant post (SEN TA), you will:

• Hold a minimum of Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification.

• Preferably have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs. 

• Be enthusiastic towards teaching young children.

• Have experience of supporting children in the classroom. 

• Able to offer creative and dynamic teaching styles.
