ABC Teachers are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in our partner schools across Staffordshire from September 2021. You must have experience working with children and young people who have special educational needs and have be passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
About the role:
• Flexible roles around your commitments, starting in September 2021.
• Variety of positions – day to day supply, short-term and long-term roles that can potentially turn permanent for the right candidate
• Work in various schools in the region and support students with special educational needs, such as autism, moderate to more severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
• Work alongside supportive teams, with a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience supporting young people.
About the schools we work with:
• Primary, secondary and all-through schools.
• SEND Schools, Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provisions.
• We cover the whole of the Staffordshire area, and have partner schools that are accessible across the region
• Positive environments, with supportive teams and leadership to work alongside.
About you:
• You must have a minimum of 20 days or 6 weeks experience working within a SEN school or working with young people with special educational needs – we MUST be able to reference this experience.
• Be passionate about working with young people and helping them reach their full potential
• Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
