ABC Teachers are currently looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs school in Stoke-On-Trent.
This school caters for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties who are 11 to 19 years of age. Many of the students display challenging behaviour so the school ensures that there is a high staff to student ratio at all times.
This role will begin in September and will be an ongoing basis; you will be expected to work with students on a 1:1 basis and also with small groups of students. We are ideally looking for someone that has had previous experience with challenging behaviour and is confident in their behavioural management ability.
The ideal candidate –
· Level 2 TA qualification
· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)
· Build rapport with the children
· In date DBS & on the Update Service
Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
