Job overview

We are a warm, happy school with an enthusiastic and dedicated staff, well-behaved children and a very supportive leadership team. We are situated close to the City of London and Canary Wharf in the vibrant, thriving community of Wapping and we have close links to St Peter’s Church.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate SEN teaching assistant for children with complex social communication disorders and/or a diagnosis of ASD. Our aim is to provide them with a nurturing environment to develop their social communication and emotional regulation. Within a mainstream setting, you will be well supported by the school SENCo, class teacher and educational therapists to deliver an adapted curriculum suited for the child’s needs.

About St Peter's London Docks CofE Primary School

Our aim is to give every child the opportunity to achieve their full potential through a broad and balanced curriculum that develops their skills, knowledge and positive attitudes. The Government’s National Curriculum provides the basis, but not the limits, for this work.

The friendly, skilled staff at St. Peter’s is a strong feature of the school and work very closely together as an effective team. We currently have 39 members of staff, including 13 teachers, 20 non teaching staff, a caretaker and 5 members of our administration team. We pride ourselves on having strong professional relationships and have a clear understanding of how to provide the best learning opportunities for our children.
