Sacred Heart is a vibrant two form inner city Catholic primary school, with an attached ASD base. We are looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed SENCO to join our large, friendly team of staff. Our children are lively and a pleasure to teach, they will welcome you wholeheartedly to the Sacred Heart community.

This post does not have class teacher responsibilities but the candidate should be a qualified SENCO or willing to start, the NASENCO award. There will be an extensive handover period with the current post holder.

We are looking for a SENCO who is:

  • an outstanding teacher, with a range of experience working with children with complex needs.
  • a committed professional who will champion the needs of all SEN pupils.
  • experienced in rigorous tracking and monitoring of children’s progress.
  • experienced in working within the SEND code of practice.
  • an excellent communicator, and who can work positively and sympathetically with families and professionals.
  • Confident to report to governors, SLT and external inspection teams.

 

We are looking for someone to maintain the high standard of provision and effective systems currently in place to support our children with SEND.
