The Ferrers School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic SENCo / Teacher of Special Educational Needs/Inclusion Lead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, inspirational and highly motivated professional to play a key part in the leadership of our Special Educational Needs & inclusion department.  The successful candidate would Lead the department, supporting and promoting an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all students to achieve their best, overcoming barriers to learning and participation.  

This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and caring teacher who possesses both experience and expertise in Special Educational Needs & Inclusion. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to whole school development of these areas and will be a key member of the Extended Leadership Team.

This is an exciting time to be joining  the the school.  We have secured improving  outcomes over the last 3 years which were validated in our recent Ofsted report (July 2021) where The Ferrers School was found to be 'Good' in all areas. These five areas are: ‘The Quality of Education’, ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’, ‘Personal Development’, ‘Leadership and Management’, and ‘Sixth Form Provision’. 

The Ferrers School is part of the successful Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust, a group of primary, secondary and special schools.  Many of the schools in the trust are growing and there is a need to develop capacity, expertise and excellence in our staff body.
