SENCO

MPR/UPR & TLR2B and SEN Allowance

(Hours to be negotiated)

Do you want to make an impact in a school that is moving forward with exciting times ahead?

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a SENCO to join our school and make a huge contribution to transforming the learning and lives of our students.   This pivotal role will include leading, developing and supporting effective practice for students with SEND. The SENCO will lead a team of dedicated staff in establishing and implementing a range of support and interventions for our SEND students across the school to ensure each learner achieves her full potential.

To be successful you need to be a qualified teacher with experience of SEN related responsibilities, policy and practice.  The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion, a champion for all students with SEND and an advocate for some of our most vulnerable students. You should be confident with using data to evaluate the impact of support and interventions. The ability to teach literacy or numeracy is desirable but not essential. We would welcome applications from either the secondary or primary sector.   Whether you are at the start of your SENCO career or have a wealth of experience, we are interested in talking with you about how you will help us to create outstanding inclusive provision and life-changing opportunities and outcomes for our students.

Visits to the school are welcome and encouraged. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange this.

Successfully shortlisted candidates, as part of the selection process, will be required to teach a small group of students for either a literacy or numeracy lesson of 20 minutes and prepare a brief presentation on an area of Special Educational Needs.
