Learning & Enterprise College Bexley (formerly known as The Learning Centre Bexley) is the London Borough of Bexley’s main provider of Adult Education, providing guidance and support to students with over 8,000 students enrolled on courses across sites in the community.   

We are looking to recruit a full time SENCO to fill a busy and varied role as part of the curriculum team. They will be leading, developing and supporting effective practice for students with SEND.  

The person appointed should have experience of working within an environment of supporting people with disabilities, learning difficulties or health problems.   

Duties will include: 

  • To be responsible for the coordination of provision for students with SEND and line management responsibilities for Teaching Assistant staff within the College.  
  • To coordinate the College’s statutory obligations to best meet the needs of students and support their learning progression.

Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification, also a SENCO qualification or be willing to work towards this.
