Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of a SENCo at a school based in Buckinghamshire.

They invite applications from professionals with vision and ambition to inspire and lead on the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.

They are recruiting for an exceptional candidate to be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual students with SEN or a disability. They want to recruit someone who puts students first, proactively focuses on the development, sharing and monitoring of best practice to help across the school so that their students have the best educational opportunities and positive school experience.

Ideally you will be an inspiring class teacher with a passion for quality first teaching, you will be a qualified SENDCo who is experienced in areas of training and process, in working with JCQ Exams Access procedures and have sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.

As an extremely successful, outstanding selective school, they would welcome applications from candidates with experience of different learning environments. In return they can offer wonderful students with a thirst for learning, a determined staff team and supportive governors who work very hard with the school.
