The Role
We seeking to appoint an outstanding SENCO with a primary focus to support the strategic direction and development of SEN provision and the overall development of this team. You will develop and implement effective intervention for our children with identified barriers to their learning. We will expect you to help our pupils achieve academically and personally. There is the opportunity to make a big impact on standards of student attainment through your fresh ideas, motivational skills and keen focus on improvement.
You will promote efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources.
The Candidate
We are seeking a practitioner with a degree, a teaching qualification and the SEN qualification required of a SENCO, also, ideally, a specific SEN qualification such as the Level 5 OCR or MA Spld. You will bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine determination that children with SEND should be educated to a high standard and make at least the same progress as their peers. You will be expected to be flexible and open to change. You will need to demonstrate strength of conviction and an ability to converse with parents in a confident and articulate manner.
