Job overview

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Kings Road.  We are looking to appoint a well organised, enthusiastic teacher with SEND experience to become the dedicated SENCO at our school, working 2.5 days a week in a non-teaching role and 2.5 days a week as a class teacher initially in year 3.

The role will include:

  • Maintaining an updated SEND register and Provision Map
  • Carrying out and supporting assessments to identify children’s needs
  • Developing  an intervention and support programme
  • Liaising with outside professionals, agencies, parents and staff
  • Line management of Teaching Assistants
  • Providing a clear understanding of current SEND provision and practices to all staff
