SENDCo required for a  friendly, supportive and family-like Secondary Academy based in Doncaster.

Tes is currently seeking an ambitious SENCo for a well-renowned school seeking to expand its successful SLT. The school has a friendly inclusive ethos and enjoys supporting passionate teachers who enjoy engaging their learners to achieve to the best of their ability.

The role will include coordinating and managing the delivery of all SEN interventions and provisions to support SEN pupils across the whole school at KS3, GCSE and A-level standard.

The appointed candidate will take full control of SEN at the school. You'll have a great knowledge of funding for SEN pupils and will be able to support the school to access said funds.


The school wants to hear from passionate SEN practitioners who have experience in delivering engaging lessons. The school want to bring back the magic to learning and want to hear from you!

The school expects:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • a relevant BA/BSc in Special Education / Subject Degree or a related subject
  • previous experience of delivering a subject up to GCSE level, A-level is advantageous
  • experience of coordinating SEN delivery
