Smart Teachers is recruiting for an experienced SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) to join a vibrant community primary school in Old Street (N1). Starting April 2017, this is a full time role through to July 2017, with the potential of going permanent in September 2017. This ‘Outstanding’ school requires a SENCO who will support the identification of students with special educational needs (SEN) and co-ordinate appropriate provisions.

  • Ensuring that the school keeps the records of all pupils with SEN up to date
  • Competitive daily rate of up to £160 per day dependant on experience/qualification

In order to be considered for this role, the successful SENCO will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education/ PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum
  • NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
