Shoreditch Park Primary School is an Outstanding two form entry primary school with a dedicated Autistic Resource Provision (ARP), located on Shoreditch Park in South Hackney.  We are looking to recruit an outstanding, dedicated and innovative teacher with considerable experience working with children with special educational needs to join our supportive school community.   Shoreditch Park Primary School currently holds the Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence Award and UNICEF Rights’ Respecting Gold Award.  In 2019/20 we will be looking to achieve the Inclusion Quality Mark Flagship status.

You will be joining an exceptional Inclusion Team which includes, a Pastoral and Child Protection Manager, Counsellor, Lead ASPIRE Teacher and Learning Mentors.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Deputy Head Teacher and the Assistant Head for Inclusion and will be responsible for the application of Shoreditch Park Primary School’s SEND information report.  In order to do this you will have: 

• Have experience as a SENCO / Inclusion Manager or a teacher with extensive experience of working within settings with a high proportion of SEND.

• Hold, or be willing to undertake, the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination (Shoreditch Park Primary School will fund this qualification.)

• Demonstrate optimism about children and have the expectation that they can meet their full potential.

• Be able to actively analyse and interpret pupil information and link this to both curriculum development and provision mapping.

• Have the interpersonal skills to work within a team; including partnerships with outside agencies.

• Have the skills to co-ordinate provision for children with Special Educational Needs

• Demonstrate the ability to lead on effective interventions 

• Have the drive to inspire pupils, parents, staff and the wider community
