The Mulberry Primary School is a large, 3 form entry school in Tottenham, Haringey. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Primary SENCO, who is capable of initiating and developing effective strategies which enable our SEND pupils to achieve their full potential.
This post does not have class teacher responsibilities but the candidate should be a qualified SENCO, or willing to start, the NASENCO award.
We are looking for an SENCO who is:
- An outstanding teacher, with a range of experience working with children with complex needs.
- A strong leader who is committed to providing the highest standards of provision for SEND pupils.
- Experienced in rigorous tracking and monitoring of children’s progress.
- Experienced in working within the SEND code of practice.
- An excellent communicator, with a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents, governors and the community.

The Mulberry Primary School is a mainstream, mixed primary in Tottenham, North London. It caters for three to 11-year-old students. There are 720 places available, making it one of the largest primary schools in the borough of Haringey. It also provides 18 places through its provision for children with autism.
The school is proud of its cultural and linguistic diversity, with three out of four pupils speaking English as an additional language. Its provision for autistic students, and for pupils eligible for additional government funding through the pupil premium, makes it a very inclusive school.

The Mulberry Primary School’s vision is "learning and achieving together".
