We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting an inclusive learning environment, supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), and working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of SEN policies and strategies in line with the British curriculum.
• Identify, assess, and support students with special educational needs, ensuring tailored interventions and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Work closely with teachers to differentiate instruction and provide guidance on inclusive teaching practices.
• Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, ensuring effective interventions are in place.
• Liaise with parents, school staff, and external agencies to provide coordinated support.
• Provide training and professional development for teachers on best practices in SEN support.
• Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• A relevant degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience in a SENCO role or working with students with special educational needs.
• Strong knowledge of SEN policies and inclusion strategies within the British curriculum.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and external specialists.
Desirable:
• SENCO qualification or additional training in special education.
• Experience working in an international school setting.
