Guiseley School are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced and highly committed individual to join our extended leadership team in the pivotal role of SENCO. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and innovative leader who can drive forward the teaching, learning and wider provision for our SEND students.

The post holder will have responsibility for strategic oversight and day to day running of the SEND provision. The role is demanding and challenging but very rewarding and so we need a SENCO who is pro-active, passionate and a model of good practice for all staff.

This post is a vital appointment for our school community and students, staff and parents seek someone who drives forward the school’s core values of Care, Achievement, Growth and Success. Guiseley School is an 11-18 fully inclusive school situated in a small town in the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is now a suburb of northwest Leeds and close to the stunning Dales. The school is part of a Co-operative Trust established in 2014. The school works jointly with several local schools to promote the welfare and success of the children of Aireborough. As part of the local community, Guiseley School has a firm reputation for high standards in both behaviour and academic endeavour. The Governing Board is keen to continue this traditional understanding of the school and to develop its reputation for excellence. The school is proud to have achieved the prestigious Platinum Artsmark Award for the second time in 2022.
