The SENCO is a key leader in the academy and has a critical role in raising standards of attainment for disadvantaged learners, both academic and in pastoral, to ensure that Queen Elizabeth’s Academy provides a quality education for all students regardless of their ability. The SENCO will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership team and must demonstrate loyalty, professionalism, commitment, high standards of work, integrity, and confidentiality both within the academy and the wider community. 

We are an academy on a rapid improvement journey. We have very high expectations of uniform and behaviour and crucially, we expect our students to work as hard as our staff do. We know that our staff team are our greatest resource. Therefore, we invest heavily in them and we know that this has helped us to develop our stable, supportive and high performing team. This is a full time role, however, we will consider part-time or flexible working where possible.
