John Leggott College (JLC) are looking to appoint a SENCO to cover maternity leave and manager our Learning Support Assistants and Foundation Learners.
John Leggott College (JLC) is a leading Sixth Form College in North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, East Lindsey, Lincolnshire, Doncaster Hull and Rotherham. JLC has consistently been in the top 25% of all schools and colleges for A-Level and top 10% for BTEC. The college’s learners are fantastic and JLC are looking for teachers who can harness their talent inspiring them to progress to the best universities and employers around the world.
Candidates will have excellent communication and excellent leadership skills with a high understanding of strategies and practices relating to learners with additional/special educational needs. You will be highly motivated inspiring students and those around you with a strong learner focus.
The post may suit an experienced school teacher, practitioner from an FE background or Local Authority, we welcome applicants from any background that can demonstrate the necessary skills and enthusiasm for the post.

John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.
The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
