To co-ordinate SEND provision at Rosetta Primary School

Rosetta Primary School is in one of the top 100 schools in the country for the progress that the children make whilst at our school and we are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic SENCO. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious teacher with proven outstanding classroom experience to work within our Inclusion Team.

We are looking for you to:

  • Have high expectations of children’s achievements and a proven record of promoting high standards.
  • Have a good understanding of the wide-ranging needs of children from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Have substantial experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities and children with autism.
  • Have enthusiasm and energy.
  • Inspire, challenge support and motivate children and adults.
  • Possess excellent organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Have substantial experience of inclusion within the mainstream setting.
  • Have an interest, specialism or qualification in working with children with special education needs and/or disabilities.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Be able to identify and articulate small steps in children’s learning.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines in providing information and reports.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise with a busy schedule.
  • Ability to work and liaise with a range of external professionals and agencies.
  • Proven record as an outstanding teacher.
  • Ideal candidate will have The National Award for Special Education Needs Co-ordination.
  • Have an excellent understanding of how children learn.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work as a team but also under your own initiative in a flexible and problem solving manner.
