Working for Oaks Primary Academy:  Oaks Primary is a small academy with approximately 160 pupils on roll and an additional 21 pupils in our Nursery. We are very proud of our school and the hard work and positive attitude of all our pupils and staff. Teaching areas are both safe and well maintained, providing a stimulating working environment for pupils. We are continually striving to improve our facilities in order to enrich our pupils’ experiences.

The teachers and support staff form a very strong team and work closely with the Governing Body and Leigh Academies Trust to promote high standards throughout the Oaks Primary. Parents provide invaluable voluntary support throughout the academy and there is a well-established PTA, which provides a programme of fundraising activities throughout the year.

The academy teaches a broad and balanced curriculum which is enriched by a wide range of extra-curricular activities. It is our aim to provide a happy, safe, and caring community, where everyone is encouraged and supported to achieve their goals.

Being part of the Leigh Academies Trust:  Being part of a successful multi-academy trust allows the academy to share best practice and collaborate with colleagues from a number of other schools in the local area.  As part of the 'cluster' structure all of our academies are grouped together in key geographical area to enable them to be able to support each other and share resources.  It also offers staff better access to career opportunities as the Trust is committed to developing and promoting from within wherever possible.  We also want the Trust to be an organisation where people can enjoy teaching and become the type of teacher they aspire to be.  For more information on working for the Trust please visit our careers pages.
