Wardle Academy is part of the Wardle Trust and is located in a semi-rural setting and is at the heart of the community in the village of Wardle. The school is easily accessible, within close proximity to the M62 motorway and Smithy Bridge train station.

This is  a very exciting time to be joining Wardle Academy which was inspected by Ofsted in December 2017 and judged to be good in all aspects, just 21 months after Ofsted judged the academy to ‘require improvement’.  This, together with much-improved exam results in 2018 (provisional P8 score is positive), a very hard-working and committed staff means that the academy is able to offer all applicants a highly professional, aspirational and happy place to work.

We are determined to carry on improving until we are the very best we can be.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is therefore subject to pre-employment checks including enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background checks.
