Our Lady of Peace Catholic Primary & Nursery School offers an exciting opportunity to join our outstanding Primary school, with a supportive Senior Leadership team and a welcoming staff team. The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a SENCO to join a staff team who are committed to promoting the achievements of all our pupils, within the warm and caring ethos of this Catholic school. The successful candidate will professionally lead and manage SEND as a member of the SEN team. The role consists of an out of class position of SENCO for Key Stage 2 for 3 days per week and PPA cover for class teachers for the remaining 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the School’s SEN policy 

• Co-ordinating provision for the children with SEN 

• Liaising with parents, health and social care professionals and other external agencies 

• Ensuring that the school keeps up-to-date records including data of all pupils with SEN and      meets its responsibilities
