Are you a passionate leader dedicated to ensuring every child, regardless of their starting point, has the opportunity to flourish? Northwold Primary School is seeking an inspiring SENCO and Inclusion Lead to join our team for the Summer Term.
This is a pivotal role where you will provide the strategic vision for inclusion across the school, championing the needs of pupils with SEND, EAL, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. You will lead a dedicated team of support staff to embed inclusive practice into the heart of our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Determine the strategic development of the school’s SEND policy and provision, ensuring it aligns with the School Improvement Plan.
Statutory Compliance: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and ensure all statutory requirements, including EHCPs and Annual Reviews, are met with tenacity.
Staff Development: Provide professional guidance and high-quality CPD to colleagues, modelling best-practice inclusive teaching.
Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for external agencies, including Local Authorities and health professionals, while building strong partnerships with parents and carers.
Data Analysis: Use assessment data to identify barriers to learning and monitor the impact of interventions.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) (or equivalent NPQ).
Have a proven track record of successful teaching and experience in a leadership or SEND role.
Possess a deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation.
Be an excellent communicator who can inspire commitment and work collaboratively within a team.
